Job Description:

The Lead Host/Matre D is in charge of warmly greeting and bidding farewell to all Guests from the host stand, controlling a wait list and maximizing seating of Guests in The Berkshire Room and Bodega. They are responsible for communicating wait times and coordination of large groups with the General Manager and Bar Manager. The Lead Host/Matre D isthe first and last point of contact for the Guest experience in the restaurant and is responsible forcreating an inviting and comfortable environment for our Guests.

Responsibilities:
Warmly greets GuestsOrganize/ quote wait list timesMaintain timely seating of reservations, while acknowledging and fulfilling Guest requests whenever possibleSeat GuestsManage reservation specific communication to Servers and Managers from Resy notesMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the host stand including counters, menus, computer, shelves and storage areas

Other Functions:
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the
restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisorComplying with health and food safety standards, bussing tables and resetting for service as neededProviding great Guest service, and following Fifty/50 Restaurant Group policies & proceduresClosing The Berkshire Room a minimum of 2 shifts per week
