As a Chiller Functional Tester at Johnson Controls, your primary objective is to perform functional testing of liquid chillers. This role involves repairing chillers and facility equipment, maintaining the facility and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will be responsible for housekeeping duties and equipment inventory management. The position requires physical activities such as lifting, standing, walking, and operating various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct functional testing and facility operations for liquid chillers.
Repair chillers and facility equipment as needed.
Maintain the facility and equipment in proper working condition.
Perform housekeeping duties and other assigned tasks.
Inventory management of equipment and storage.
Adhere to safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Read and interpret blueprints for effective testing.
Operate hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other relevant equipment.
Work with three-phase electrical power distribution systems, transformers, and liquid chilling units.
Utilize data instrumentation systems with pressure transducers, flow meters, and resistance thermometers.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and engage in physical activities such as bending, climbing, and reaching.
Working knowledge of operations, maintenance, and repair in areas such as three-phase electrical power distribution systems, liquid chilling units, cooling towers, and data instrumentation systems.
Minimum of one year of experience in operations, maintenance, and repair.
Familiarity with York equipment preferred.
Capability to read and interpret blueprints and perform high school level math.
Participation in a Continuous Improvement Team as a condition of employment.
Understanding and adherence to safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Vision corrected to 20/20.
