Tube Fitter 2nd Shift at ManpowerGroup in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description:

 The Tube Fitter is responsible for bending, forming, and installing tubing on units, performing tubing layout according to blueprints, and identifying/installing valves and devices, with some electrical knowledge required.

Responsibilities:

• Bend, form, and install tubing on units
• Conduct tubing layout per blueprints
• Identify and install valves/devices
• Utilize some electrical knowledge

Qualifications:

• Understanding of P&ID on electrical drawings
• Proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment, and measuring tape
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area/equipment
• Active participation in Continuous Improvement Team required

Physical Requirements 

• Occasional lifting of 50 lbs.
• Constant standing.
• Frequent walking.
• Occasional bending, climbing, and crawling.
• Frequent reaching and grasping.
• Occasional sitting and connecting.
• Frequent pulling.
• Vision corrected to 20/20.
• Frequent handling of equipment and materials.

About the Company:

The company operates on a 2nd shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 4 days a week (Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm - 4 am). The hourly pay is $16.71 with an 8.5% shift differential. Environmental factors include exposure to noise, dirt, dust, and indoor/outdoor cold/heat, with job hazards associated with heavy equipment and machinery. Tools and equipment used include tape measure, small hand tools, power tools, and drills.
