Job Description:

Ferguson, North America’s leading distributor, is seeking a Showroom Sales Consultant to sell a variety of products to customers including builders, designers, and homeowners. This role involves providing accurate information, developing customer relationships, preparing job quotations, and continuously improving sales skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work with customers to sell products like lighting, appliances, fixtures, and cabinetry.
• Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information.
• Greet guests, understand their needs, and build lasting customer relationships.
• Prepare job quotations and submittals.
• Assist customers through appointments and walk-ins, using suggestive sales techniques and addressing complaints.
• Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Prior sales experience in plumbing fixtures, lighting, and/or cabinetry preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to engage with customers of varying product knowledge levels.
• Understanding of design and interior decorating basics.
• Consultative sales approach to recommend solutions for customer needs.
