Apply now for the position of Diagnostics Business Analyst - Accounting and Controlling Professional , and you will support the Accounting and Controlling Activities within Contract Finance DX Contract Accounting, as well as providing Tier 2 support for IT related activities.



This will be a position based out of our Malvern, PA office



Your role:



  • Prepare complex monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and reporting.

  • Run and distribute pre-close and systemic month end reports and checks where required.

  • Accounting and Reporting for Siemens DX contract portfolio, including but not limited to:

    • Accounting for mid-term changes and contract terminations.

    • Tracking contract renewal and extensions.

    • Adhoc reporting of specific contracts, customers, and products to support cross-functional initiatives.

    • Analyze and drive resolution of any contractual discrepancies ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

    • Perform or request systemic contract maintenance where applicable in SAP or other platforms.

    • Maintenance of specific SAP input tables. Provide related analysis and projection of value flow.

    • Tracking of Instrument backlog and preparing weekly revenue reports for management.

    • Key participant in contact data transfer to SAP P58 platform

    • Provide support to internal and external customers.



  • Maintain accuracy of books and records by ensuring compliance with all finance, accounting, and quality policies - draft and maintain formal process documents where applicable.



Tier 2 IT support related duties

  • Provide second-tier support to SAP users within Lifecycle Management and DX Accounting focused on system value flow and posting.

    • This includes troubleshooting system and process errors to determine if user coaching needs to be implemented or IT needs to provide technical support for malfunctioning system processes. If IT support is needed, submit Work Requests to IT organization to change or enhance SAP P40 DX CLM / P58 to enhance or maintain functionality and financial value flow.

    • Guiding IT personnel to translate business and finance needs into appropriate system changes.

    • Write and approve work request specification documents for IT organization.

    • Test and approve of changes before they are integrated into the production environment.



  • Collaborate with various departments within the organization to develop and implement new business processes and technical solutions that streamline activities while ensuring accordance with Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines. This may include SAP modifications, Microsoft Excel or Power BI solutions, and Winshuttle scripting.




Your expertise:



  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with ability to apply problem solving techniques, creativity, and critical thinking to drive continual improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues and collaborate with /consult with peers and others outside of functional area to resolve complex issues and improve existing processes.

  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting and finance principles

  • Ability to research relevant financial/accounting literature and recommend application of guidance to processes & business transactions.

  • Experience with digitalization, business process improvement, or similar functions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize workflow, perform under sensitive deadlines.

  • Adaptable to change.




The requirements:



  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred with at least 5 years of related experience.

  • Financial industry experience with loans or leases from the lessor perspective, with a record of increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manage large data sets and spreadsheets.

  • Working knowledge of SAP General Ledger and Financial Reporting.
