Salary: $120,000.00 USD Annually - $180,000.00 USD Annually

Description:
The Judge Group searching for a Director, Food Safety & Quality Assurance. The Director of FSQA will lead aspects of food safety and quality assurance throughout the organization. You'll conduct routine sanitation checks, ensuring that HAACP and USDA regulations are strictly enforced. Providing technical expertise to track product from start to finish, and develop corrective actions when needed. You will be responsible for ensuring that we are able to safely deliver the best product brands to customers and consumers.


Responsibilities:

• Manage and continue refine all Quality and Food Safety systems.


• Own all food safety and quality related relationships with internal and external partners.
  
  


• Lead all FSQA risk assessment activities in support of product innovation and optimization.


• Ensure compliance with all GFSI, FDA, USDA and state/local food safety regulations.


• Outline validation and verification activities for RTE products and processes.


• Build and oversee the budget of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance functional area.


• Oversee the QC testing program for all raw materials and finished goods.


• Stay current on developments in Food Safety regulations and guidance.


• Manage the teams responsible for auditing manufacturing locations and raw material suppliers.


• Promote a team culture focused cross-functional collaboration to ensure excellence in FSQA.


• Provide high level summaries and key recommendation and any issues related to FSQA.


• Lead all activities related to product traceability.


• Routinely audit internal systems to ensure program compliance.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of technical food safety experience required. Includes knowledge of food product development, food safety, quality assurance, food manufacturing and microbiology.


• Prove leadership in FSQA functional areas. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) food science, microbiology, chemistry or a related area.


• Strong understanding of HACCP and Preventative Controls.


• PCQI certification


• Knowledge of FDA and FSMA regulations as they relate to ready-to-eat foods.
  
  


• Experience in quality assurance; areas of experience include HACCP, CCP, GMP's, hygienic design/zoning, GFSI


• Ability to conduct food safety risk assessments and identify process controls to address risks.
  
  


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
