The Impact You'll Make in this Role

The MedSurg Finance Director will report directly to the SVP MedSurg Finance and will be the finance business leader for financial planning and reporting processes. The role will interface with key business leaders, sales and customer operations, sales leaders, and key finance stakeholders (FP&A, portfolio finance, controllers) to provide financial and business partnership.

As the MedSurg Finance Director, you will make an impact by:


  • Partnering with business leaders and other internal stakeholders to drive growth

  • Owning, augmenting, tracking, and updating the financial forecasting cycles including

  • strategic plan, annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and latest estimates

  • Working with sales leaders, sales operations, marketing to drive our growth goals while

  • delivering financial targets; ensuring high forecast accuracy and predictability both domestically and internationally

  • Collaborating with internal suppliers and customers to design, develop, and drive

  • continuous improvement activities to enable us to serve customers more effectively

  • Developing financial models to highlight revenue and profit growth opportunities

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • Ten (10) years of experience working in finance organizations with key understanding of business unit and commercial processes and reporting

  • Five (5) years of experience of financial modeling for international organizations

  • Five (5) years of finance experience within a healthcare OR Manufacturing industry

  • Five (5) years of leadership experience managing senior level teams

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • CPA, CMA or equivalent international certification

  • Experience in the MedTech Industry

  • Responsible for Income Statements

  • Leadership and collaboration skills to engage with business stakeholders and drive alignment on financial assumptions

  • Ability to lead through others and influence

  • Pragmatic, results-oriented with a strong bias towards executing with speed, agility, and quality

  • Experience in a global business setting and understanding of operational and cultural differences due to geography, size, and scope of the organization • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Record of career progression with increasing levels of responsibility

  • Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion

Preference onsite in St. Paul, MN or Remote

Travel: May include up to 15% international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $259,007 - $316,564, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
