The Judge Group has partnered with a manufacturing client in the Greater Yuba City CA area to find a Director of Engineering for their team. This role oversees an engineering team and all capital projects within the facilities!
This role does involve 15% travel to plants.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Managing the engineering team including individuals located in the corporate office and plant locations; responsible for development and performance of these employees
Managing projects of varying sizes at plant and HQ locations; managing and communicating deadlines, issues, changes, vendors, and training
Constantly looking for ways to improve processes and new advancements in the market to add to the plant locations and driving innovation at the plants
Partnering with all departments on projects/plant improvements, but heavily coordinating with finance and senior production management on projects and budgets
Collaborating with internal and external vendors on equipment, projects, etc.
Maintaining stong communication with plant managers on changes within their plants and issues they experience onsite with project implementation
Travel 15% involved to plants during major projects, project kick off meetings, and handling major issues that arise
Responsible for developing project plans up to 5-7 years in the future
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technical Field
