We are hiring a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team. The role involves supporting project delivery and process optimization, as well as providing support for key customer business processes. Responsibilities include executing projects using agile and waterfall methodologies, documenting requirements and processes, creating mockups and prototypes, developing test plans, and cultivating strong business relationships. The ideal candidate would have a bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and 2+ years of industry experience (4+ years preferred). Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, business intelligence tools, project management software, process modeling tools, and prototyping tools is required. Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to troubleshoot and mentor junior team members are necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Project Delivery and Process Optimization

    • Support the execution of projects using the Tyson agile and waterfall project methodology.

    • Elicit, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements or user stories to include the most automated and optimized solutions.

    • Document business and technical processes using business process model notation (BPMN).

    • Provide mockups and/or prototypes to vet documented requirements and gather feedback.

    • Develop test plans for given software releases.

    • Develop and execute unit system and integration test cases.

    • Cultivate strong business relationships by demonstrating an understanding of related processes, requirements, systems, and terminology.

    • Maintain awareness of best practices, including processes and technology, and identify opportunities to improve existing functionality and enable automation, where possible.

    • Develop and use existing or research new tools that improve the delivery of solutions to customers.

    • Provide guidance and feedback to more junior analysts within the same team area.



  • Support

    • Create, maintain, and ensure the quality of systems that support key Customer business processes.

    • Collaborate with the functional end users, vendors, and IT peers to support application system integrations and capabilities as needed.

    • Document support procedures and information to maintain a positive support level.

    • Focus on delivering support efforts within established service level agreements to ensure department key performance indicators are met.






REQUIREMENTS:




Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or information Systems or an equivalent degree with experience equating to a bachelor's degree in computer science or information Systems is preferred.



Experience: 2 plus years of industry experience in Information Systems, 4 plus years preferred.



Technical Skills: As a senior IT business analyst, it is important to have proficiency in various computer skills. These include data analysis and reporting tools like Excel and SQL, business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI, project management software like Microsoft Project and JIRA, process modeling tools like Visio, and prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD. Technical knowledge of programming languages and database management systems is also beneficial. Effective communication and collaboration using tools like Microsoft Outlook and Teams. Knowledge of cybersecurity is beneficial. Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like Power Automate can further enhance efficiency by automating tasks and streamlining processes.



Communication Skills: Effective communication is vital for an IT business analyst. They must provide context, explain complex topics to non-technical individuals, and collaborate with customers, peers, and management. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team are necessary.



Special Skills: Advanced troubleshooting skills. Ability to lead and mentor junior team members through requirements gathering, business process mapping, and system analysis. Basic project management skills preferred.

Travel: Some travel may be required. Individual project requirements will determine the amount of travel.
