An energy and utilities client is looking for a Financial Analyst who willperform analysis including the ability to analyze financial and business-related data.
Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 (Hybrid)
Position: Project Analyst
Pay: $37/hr. on W2
Duration: 12 months or longer
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm
***Hybrid position in the office 2 days a week (Tue, Wed), option to work remotely the other 3 days of the week.***
Responsibilities:
Run daily margin reconciliation with clearing statements
Process credit exposure calculations and send out margin call notices as appropriate
Upload daily and monthly spot prices into the system of record
Process, administer, and manage all collateral instruments to support procurement activities across Energy Procurement & Management, Transmission & Distribution, Operational Services, and Customer Services operating units
Run daily trade confirmations process
Managing a lot of different collateral - cash, credits, escrow, etc. - $2-3B worth of financials processing
Processing financial mail, scanning, and filing documents.
Reviewing the language and financials via mail bumping up against internal systems
Risk operations - providing operations support
In support of market calculations
Reconciling
Processing Clearing house statements
Special projects and assignments as needed
Required Skills/Attributes:
BS in Business Administration, Accounting Finance, or equivalent degree required.
3 or more years in financial planning and an analytical role.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
SAP experience
Proficient with Excel, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs
Importing data
Data management, internal and external data
Running reports
Experience with queries
Someone with a can-do attitude
Open to continuous coaching & feedback
Someone who can manage time effectively to meet operations deadlines
Multitasking
Tight deadlines
Help with processing payments
Attending margin calls
Desired skills:
Experience with energy contracts, risk management related to energy procurement, or the CAISO market
Experience with macros and database queries
Experience with SAP
Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
Knowledge of Endur or other commodity trading systems
