LHH is currently recruiting for a PublicTax Manager (or Senior Manager) with a larger, regional CPA firm. This role will be part of the growth in their division covering manufacturing clientele. The company HQs are located in the Portland, OR metro area along with offices in other states including WA, CA, ID, UT, AZ and MT. This role will offer a mostly remote option but needs to have some onsite presence when needed. This will NOT be a fully remote role and person will need to reside in the Oregon area for occasional onsite needs (mostly hybrid)!

Overall Responsibilities: • Focus on tax areas for manufacturing clients/companies - will involve managing client relationships but also have some technical work at times also • Research and Development (R&D), credit incentives, guidance on strategic areas and regulatory compliance • Interact with other departments as needed • Help to grow and develop client base • Strong client interaction and communications • Ability to help mentor, supervise and lead more junior members of the tax team (8 tax staff in team, 13 in the manufacturing division)
Background: • Bachelor's Degree - Accounting or equivalent • Open to strong Senior Tax level candidates looking to take the next step in their public career • 6+ years in public tax - highly preferred working with prior manufacturing companies • Active CPA license or completion of CPA exam - MANDATORY, will help to get license active if needed • Strong working knowledge of R&D • Good interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients - written and in person • Strong computer skills
Salary = $130k-$160k base + signing bonus; base will depend on experience and title given
PTO - 5 weeks, 10 Paid Holidays, Volunteer Time and paid leaves
