Join AstraZeneca, where we turn ideas into life-changing medicines. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, big-thinking Associate Director for HCP Marketing in our Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of go-to-market plans, execution, and measurement aligned to brand strategic imperatives. Working in this customer segment requires effective cross-functional coordination with portfolio peers, Sales, Commercial Operations, Insights, and Managed Markets teams in order to enhance promotional impact.


Accountabilities:


As an Associate Director, you will enhance the brand's impact and potential through the development and execution of HCP marketing plans. You will be responsible for working with Brand Leadership to develop and measure aspects of the HCP brand strategy; with a specific focus on opportunity assessments, channel leadership, positioning, messaging, and promotional strategy. This includes significant focus on Personal Promotion, with influence on Omnichannel alignments. Collaboration with other functional areas including but not limited to medical, sales, regulatory and operations will be required to ensure promotional planning is consistent with legal/regulatory compliance.


Essential Skills/Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in business, marketing or the sciences


  • 5+ years of Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience; preferably in brand marketing, market access, market research/analytics or strategic planning


  • 3+ years of US Pharmaceutical Marketing and Promotions experience


  • Successful delivery of strategic and operational plans within a therapeutic or business area


  • Demonstrated experience in working within cross-functional business units essential


  • Strong financial skill with the ability to assess and get results


  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills


  • Ability to successfully lead through ambiguity


  • Successful experience leading change transformation


  • Demonstrated learning agility




Desirable Skills/Experience:


  • Advanced Degree in business, marketing, or the sciences


  • Experience in HCP Marketing and/or pharmaceutical sales


  • Experience in Insight/Market Research


  • Experience related to Immunology therapeutic area


  • Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal, Omnichannel, Digital)


  • Development of cross-functional engagement and promotional pull through plans
