(REI) is looking for Technical Production Manager to support our Thermal Adhesive Lamination department at our Lawrenceville campus.

In this fast-paced environment, the Technical Production Manager will manage the daily operation of the Adhesive lamination production lines (S2/A1/AS3) to achieve all SEQCD targets. The Technical Production Manager will use their technical skills to perform analysis of facts and data to implement kaizen activities to prevent performance issues which impact safety or the P&L of the department as well as prevent recurring issues by collaborated efforts from all functional groups.

The Technical Production Manager will:

  • Model the “safety first” behaviors we expect of all employees by ensuring that operational procedures and processes are performed safely and provide a safe work environment.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring and documentation of 4M condition and trends to meet department SEQCD targets daily. Ensure OSHA & ISO records are maintained as required. Review production reports for accuracy. Generate safety, productivity, and quality reports and improvement plans for next level management review & feedback.
  • Ensure the resolution of HR, production, EHS, and product quality issues. Directly participate in the problem investigation (root cause analysis) and resolution (corrective action) by facilitating collaboration from all functional groups (eliminate repeat issues). Recommend, implement, and enforce methods and procedures to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operation.
  • Ensure SOPs exist and are up to date. Ensure operators are trained to these SOPs at each position to ensure a full understanding and proper skillset to perform essential job duties to achieve SEQCD targets. Enforce adherence to policy, standards, and work rules.
  • Recommend and implement section production goals, targets and adjustments for processes, work assignments and equipment to meet production SEQCD targets. Ensure 5S and autonomous Preventive Maintenance activities are planned, followed/completed, and effective.
  • Manage the participation in the testing and implementation of new products, processes, and equipment. Monitor the process and ensure data is gathered.
  • Coordinate & validate Kaizen activities in the department. Ensure employee participation in company-sponsored programs & required training.

Required

Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.

Experience

Required

5 years’ experience in manufacturing operation or 3 years working in a technical role.
3 years:
Minimum of 3 supervisory experience.
Hands-on production equipment and process setting troubleshooting and basic repair, autonomous preventative maintenance.
Advanced skills in Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
Thorough knowledge of ISO 14000.
Working knowledge of mechanical systems (gears, bearings, cylinders).
Advanced 4M root cause analysis skills and basic statistical analysis.

Preferred

Lean manufacturing or Green Belt certification.
Working knowledge of AS400/MRP system.
Advanced lean manufacturing concepts.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations.
