Job Description:

Position Summary:

The General Manager-Road System reports to the COO and is responsible for efficient and profitable operations of the 9 business units. Each business unit is either a fuel distribution business (trucking), C-store, or both. This position covers all aspects of Operations and Marketing for the businesses. Additionally, this position has a Controller and accounting staff reporting to them. This division currently has 75 employees and $50M in Sales.

Essential Job Functions:
• Coach, Mentor, Motivate and Supervise various Operations Managers
• Ensure proper staffing for all locations
• Influence Operations Team to take positive action and accountability for their assigned tasks
• Prepare and manage budgets for CAPEX, Operations, Facilities and Equipment Maintenance
• Develop strategies for growth that align with company vision and partner with Sales and Operations team to execute
• P&L responsibly for business units
• Manage the fleet of fuel trucks
• Ensure compliance with various regulations and training for business units.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field
• Ten (10) years' experience in multi-site fuel distribution
• Proven experience in a leadership role

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, company policy, procedure manuals and/or state and federal regulations
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals as well compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Skilled in handling situations in which limited standardization and multiple variables exist

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree

Salary:
DOE + bonus plan

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles and equipment; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

The employee must be able to physically travel by air within, and out of, the State of Alaska.
