Duties & Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Purchases materials and schedules deliveries in accordance with requirements and in support of all operational departments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchases and schedules delivery of materials and supplies to support company operations with an uninterrupted flow of quality materials.


• Achieves financial goals by negotiating purchase contracts and maintaining inventory investment according to Corporate objectives.


• Identifies and recommends suppliers by investigating potential suppliers, evaluating parts, equipment and materials with regard to availability and defined Corporate quality standards; develops reliable alternate sources of supply.


• Supports the development of new designs by staying abreast of general market conditions and maintaining a repository of information and knowledge from suppliers regarding new materials and processes.


• Contributes to team effort and support of manufacturing and engineering activities by offering ideas, suggestions, feedback, constructive criticism, etc., to the operation and direction of the procurement activity.


• Develops and maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, participating in professional societies, achieving applicable certifications.


• Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENT:

• Education including an Associate’s Degree in Business or related field.
