Job Description:

Giovanni Foods Production Supervisor will be assigned to direct production team to meet product manufacturing safety, quality and efficiencies guidelines. An employee working in this area is expected to operate as a member of a team, which includes assisting one another as needed.

Must have an analytical mind, and a detailed understanding of complex manufacturing and production processes. In addition, an ideal candidate must also have excellent management and interpersonal skills to coordinate their production teams. They should be responsible, proactive, reliable, and lead by example.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support Operations Manager to meet production schedules, quality, costs, safety, and GMPs as established by plan, budget, processing specification, company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.Collaborate effectively with operational support departments to ensure operational performance.Must utilize exceptional safety knowledge to implement safety procedures, promoting Companys safety culture and secure an accident-free facility. Direct personnel in department to ensure production, environmental, quality and budgetary requirements are met. Establish manufacturing procedures, including a comprehensive training program for all manufacturing employees in GMP and operational areas and conduct GMP & Safety inspections of manufacturing areas.Drive continuous improvement, conducting root cause analysis as applicable.Responsible for creating daily employee schedule and production reports.Create and maintain Operators Training Logs.Offer constructive improvements to optimize production input, monitor hourly productivity of operators to maximize optimum performance and ensure compliance with the best operational methods.Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and using corrective actions in accordance with company policies.Offer constructive improvements to optimize production input, monitor hourly productivity of operators to maximize optimum performance and ensure compliance with the best operational methods.Act as relief for a variety of positions to cover for breaks and lunches as needed. Responsible for hiring, retention, training and development, performance management and team motivation.Lead daily team meetings.Maintain and submit work orders for area of responsibility. Communicate regularly with management on issues that may arise during the day; contribute to solving issues efficiently and effectively. Conduct regular inspections, evaluating machine productivity and quality standards for optimum performance; tracks daily production numbers.Perform final product inspections to assure product safety and quality standards were met.Participate in daily production meetings and offer suggestions on improving processes and efficiencies. Complete monthly QA/Safety audits as assigned.Perform other duties as needed or requested by management.
