Are you ready to lead and innovate in the media industry? Southern Stone Communications, a prominent leader in local media, seeks a dynamic Director of Integrated Media. This pivotal role involves overseeing our digital news platform, NewsDaytonaBeach.com, and integrating its content with our radio broadcasts on WNDB, as well as our 5 additional market leading stations. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in both digital content management and radio broadcasting, with a special emphasis on community engagement and local news.
What You'll Do:
Lead Digital and Radio Content Operations: Oversee all content operations for NewsDaytonaBeach.com and ensure its seamless integration with our radio broadcasts, enhancing local news coverage and audience engagement.
Strategic Content Integration: Develop strategies to blend digital news into daily radio programming, promoting cross-platform synergy and maximizing the reach of both platforms.
Community Engagement and Presence: Maintain and enhance relationships with local newsmakers, government officials, and community leaders. Utilize these relationships to ensure comprehensive news coverage that resonates with our local audience.
On-Air and Digital Leadership: Provide on-air content as part of daily broadcasts, bringing digital news stories to life on the radio, and engaging with listeners directly.
Who You Are:
Experienced in journalism or media management with at least 7 years in the industry, including substantial roles in both digital and broadcast media.
Proficient in managing a digital news platform, ideally with specific experience in overseeing a site like NewsDaytonaBeach.com.
Skilled in on-air broadcasting and public speaking, comfortable both behind the desk and the microphone.
Well-connected within the local community, with a proven track record of leveraging contacts for enhanced news coverage.
Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
