Responsibilities:
People Focus:
the needs of our production workforce specifically centered around understanding their needs and working with them towards a collaborative solution.
departmental requirements by ensuring all process and equipment training content is up to date.
and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects, and mentor fellow engineers and technicians.
and maintain required manufacturing process documentation, including process flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis and line balancing.
and maintain a Performance Log to drive personal development with biannual updates.
Safety Focus:
departmental housekeeping using 5S methodology.
and follow all safety, environmental, health policies, and procedures e.g. Hot Work, Management of Change, etc.
continuous improvement in safety using a combination of behavior based and process safety techniques with a goal of zero record-able incidents.
ISO 14001 focusing on annual goal attainment.
Operations Focus:
and drive continuous improvement initiatives in labor and manufacturing unit cost reductions, quality (RFT, scrap generation, etc.) and productivity (units per man-hour) utilizing continuous improvement methodologies including: ERP/SAP data mining, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO-9001 and other CI techniques.
Bill of Material and routing accuracy within SAP.
relevant data from FastCRIBS computerized maintenance system.
raw material and yield variances investigations implementing data-driven corrective actions which effectively reduce variation.
Customer Focus:
successful resolution of all customer complaints using a root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences.
the process to deliver 100% on-time and in full orders to all customers.
with technical teams to develop, trial and launch new and innovative products.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
SAP experience preferred, otherwise, extensive ERP experience required.
In-depth understanding and utilization of Lean and SIX Sigma tools.
5+ years related engineering experience.
Hands-on experience leading Kai-zen events.
Ability to interface with program management, manufacturing leads, customer, and functional leads; provide daily direction and guidance to junior associates and management.
Advanced experience using MS suite: Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint and CAD.
