Job Summary and Duties:

This position involves developing and maintaining high end raid products. This position will highlight new product development, as well as feature development and bug fixing of the existing F-Series/H-Series raid products.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Development and maintenance of products and functionality for various products.
  • Investigating and resolving issues in existing products related application workflows.
  • Fixing issues on the F-Series using C, C++, & Python.
  • Development of new features for the F-Series using C, C++, & Python.
  • Working with customers and support team to resolve customer issues.
  • Working in an Agile environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience using C/C++ for development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using Python for development.
  • Experience developing RAID or block I/O technology.
  • Experience with Python ASYNC I/O Module.
  • Experience using the Linux block I/O subsystem software layers (eg, device-mapper).
  • Experience debugging Linux kernel issues.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a remote team.
  • Self-motivated, able to identify and solve problems on their own.
    • Can they pay attention to details to know that something isn’t right?
    • Will they take initiative if they see something that is not right to either fix it or raise an issue?
    • Can they research the solution to the problem on their own?
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally and integrate other components into the solution.
  • Approach problems creatively and not just repeat the same mistakes made before them.
  • Strong debugging and trouble shooting skills.
  • Effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience writing Linux device drivers is a plus.
  • Interfaces with special purpose APIs and web services required.
  • Experience in Linux operating system, able to perform installs, upgrades, maintenance and configuration.
  • Experience using GIT.
  • Experience using JIRA.

Ideal Candidate:

Our Ideal candidate would be someone who has developed RAIDs and RAID software, has detailed experience troubleshooting issues, and is capable of learning on their own.
