MilliporeSigma has an opening at the St. Louis - South Broadway site an Associate Production Scientist - 3rd Shift! In this role you will lead the group and assist the Supervisor and other departments to meet the manufacturing department needs. Job duties include: 3rd shift: Monday - Thursday, 10:00pm - 8:30am (4 x 10-hour shifts)Use Chemistry / Biology skills to perform manufacturing unit operations and help troubleshoot product issues.Complete Deviations, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventative Actions in TrackWiseSet-up equipment ensuring operations are consistent with current operating proceduresEquipment includes bag filling equipment, disinfection equipment, sampling equipment, conveyors, and packaging equipmentIdentify malfunctions in equipment operation and with appropriate approval take corrective actions, such as reconfiguring equipment, adjustment of set points or adjusting operating parametersEnsure quality and quantity of product throughout production processCoordinate appropriate disposal of waste and complete compliance documentation.Communicate and document status of processes, products, and equipment.Communicate the status of production operations/equipment and bring deviations to the attention of supervisorProvide a complete and accurate batch record at the conclusion of production operations consistent with quality guidelines.Be able to enter hours worked and raw materials used into SAP.Ensure all applicable logbooks have been filled out completely as required by current procedures.Take the necessary action to resolve any unsafe conditions.Participate in required safety and quality training and other related activitiesPerform In-Process assaysComplete Deviations, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventative Actions in TrackwiseImprove manufacturing processes through application of experience and scientific principlesSet up and oversee operations when supervisor is absent

Who you are:




Minimum Qualifications:



High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of manufacturing experience ORBachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or STEM degree

Experience with Digital/Smart Manufacturing conceptsExperience in root cause investigationsTrackWise and SAP experienceKnowledge of various processing techniques and equipmentGood interpersonal, conflict resolution, motivation, and leadership skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, to include the ability to communicate with various disciplines and levels both one-on-one and in group communicationKnowledge of continuous improvement methodologyGMP experienceRSREMD
