Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Project Manager, HR



Location: Denver Metro Area • The position is located in Denver. Position may be required to travel to and assist other domestic and international sites.

What You'll Do



• Propose a plan that leverages a client's existing project management framework and work collaboratively with the client to manage and deliver to the plan


• Ability to build client knowledge and credibility quickly


• Establish and maintain rapport with key account decision makers and influencers


• Develop full-scale project plans, risk assessments, change control, and progress reports


• Ensure high quality of deliverables and high levels of client satisfaction


• Report, manage, mitigate project issues, risks, and escalations, and ensure deliverable signoff


• Ensure and oversee launch of fully-functional deliverables on time, within budget, and within agreed-upon scope


• Project Specific Details:


• Ensure the proper design, configuration, support and maintenance of Human Resource systems, primarily SAP and the SuccessFactors suite


• This position works closely with global HR team members to optimize their use of the Global HR systems, from a business process, continuous improvement governance perspective


• Key outcomes include:


o Consistent design, support and maintenance of the global HR systems


o Effective testing and implementation of global HR system enhancements


o Engagement with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to implement process improvement, integration, and system enhancements


• Coordinate CORE enhancements and updates, including HR global business systems projects


• Support documentation of enhancement and business process requirements, test scenarios and defect tracking and resolution


• Maintain and ensure CORE configuration, testing and functionality are complete and up to date


• Identify and support implementation of innovative processes or changes that support the goals and objectives of the HR function and workforce experience


• Act as a Subject Matter Expert:


o Provide support for HR, including researching and resolving HR problems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet business requirements


o Serve as a global HR systems subject matter expert, applying knowledge to develop and maintain effective system utilization and accuracy


o Partner and communicate efficiently across the global HR team and with IT


• Project Management


o Participate as the business or technical lead for the continued implementation and improvement of global HR systems to ensure continued adoption of best practices and continuous improvement practices


o Provide support to understand, collect, and document requirements for technology solutions, including business process mapping and redesign, testing coordination, training and system post go live stabilization


o Coordinate system related projects and process improvement: integration implementations, enhancements and upgrade activities HR processes, policies and practices that impact accuracy and efficiency.


• Documentation and governance


o Develop and maintain system administration documentation, updating regularly as determined by evolving business needs and processes


o Liaise with global HR stakeholders to identify, define and ensure governance of levels of systems access/user profiles

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, IT or related field


• High level of knowledge of human resources processes as well as knowledge of end-to-end development processes


• Expertise in the use and administration of the SAP SuccessFactors modules and functionality is required


• 6-10 years of relevant human resources experience or combination of education and experience in process design and technology support


• Experience working with global ERP or other computer based human resources systems


• 5+ years experience in Project Management, systems implementation, and continuous improvement programs


• Experience working in mining, utilities, or other heavy industry is preferred


• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills


• Solid ability to investigate and analyze organizational needs


• Demonstrated strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills


• Strong computer literacy skills, including the ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)


• The capacity to build and maintain effective relationships at various levels within the business


• Strong influencing skills and ability to engage client management teams


• Ability to build understanding and develop processes and data governance


• Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external partners

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $55 to $70/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
