Job Profile Summary:

To be successful as a Financial Accountant, you should have a familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. The candidate should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable with independent work. In addition to providing financial reporting, planning and analysis support for the site, this person will support the day to day process for AP, AR, CAPEX and cash management, and provide necessary coverage on processing transactions when needed. The position relies heavily on analytical abilities and experience to sort through data and prepares meaningful information to assist management with decision making, financial deliverables, and business performance metrics and reports.

Essential Duties:

• Preparing financial analyses and reports.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Coordinating with Corporate Tax to prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns and questionnaires.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred,
• 1-3 years of accounting experience

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with industry-specific software (SAP preferred)
• Familiarity with GAAP.
• Prior experience within Aerospace & Defense industry a plus
• A highly productive self-starter with very strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
• Prior exposure to US tax processes preferred, although not required.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
