The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with the internal Ojjo team and potential/external vendors focused on improving manufacturability of our products and components while working closely to set up our supply chains and quality systems. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and across multiple teams, internal and external, with the objective to support the growing needs of our customers and our company. This position will be a part of the Product Development team while having the opportunity to cross-collaborate across the entire organization.
Responsibilities:
Liaise between engineers and vendors to improve the manufacturability of our products
Assist in all NPI functions including vendor identification, specification, prototype sourcing, quoting, quality, shipping and hand-off to supply chain
Use CAD software (SolidWorks) to design and analyze parts and BOMs
Utilize established PLM systems and help improve them
General design improvement
Work with other departments to ensure satisfactory product delivery
Assist with global procurement strategy
Requirements:
BS in Engineering, Architecture, or technical college degree
5+ years of professional experience (this is not an entry level position)
Proficiency with SolidWorks
Familiarity with PLM systems
Ability to communicate effectively
