The Mechanical Designer creates general arrangement drawings, mechanical fabrication drawings (piping ISO's, vessel etc.) and documents for production.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Review project requirements
Produce 3D drawings based on P&ID and specifications
Interact with sales and project engineering to resolve questions
Revise drawings to meet customer final requirements
Create BOM and do calculations to ensure accuracy
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent in drafting/design
Minimum 3-5 years' experience
Strong knowledge of Autodesk Inventor
Ability to read drawings as well as P& ID
Knowledge of ASME (pressure vessel, piping etc.) code
Demonstrated ability to read and understand specifications.
