Position Overview



As a Stakeholder Relations Manager, Renewable Development, you will support internal and external planning and communication to various stakeholders (mainly project participating landowners, immediate neighbors, and local officials with jurisdiction over the project) leading up to and during the construction of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects from advanced development and permitting to finalized designs and continuing through the balance of construction.


The Stakeholder Relations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing Invenergy's engagement strategies during the development as well as throughout the construction phase, in an effort to build/maintain community trust and improve the overall stakeholder experience.



Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with development, engineering, and project management to prepare site plans for landowner review / comment, resolve issues related to landowner comments, lead project wide communications to stakeholders (participating landowners, local officials, community at large, and similar activity) via monthly meetings, and to help the project management team anticipate and proactively resolve issues that surface during the course of construction.


  • Development of a base stakeholder communication program to improve the overall stakeholder experience understanding what has and will be happening onsite, where to go when issues arise, and ushering problems that arise during construction to mutually acceptable solutions.


  • Assist engineering, project management, and development team with site layout, and micro-siting both the civil and electrical design of projects, and understanding farming impacts to the remainder of leased ground outside the project fence line.


  • Coordinate with construction site team to ensure construction activities conform with project design, specifications and schedule.





Required Skills



  • Bachelor's Degree (preference for degrees in renewables, agribusiness, construction, or engineering).


  • 5+ years of relevant experience in agriculture, construction, or development.


  • Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership and communication skills which extend across numerous internal and external stakeholders


  • Demonstrated ability in leadership of multi-disciplined teams of engineers and outside contractors.


  • Thorough understanding and implementation of projects in accordance with contract terms and conditions.


  • Able to travel 25%-50% of the time.


  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.





Preferred Skills



  • Master's Degree, especially if focused on renewables, agribusiness, engineering, or construction


  • Power industry, renewable energy industry experience preferred. Specific experience in wind and solar farm development a plus.


  • Construction field experience preferred.
