Job Description:

Location: Charlotte, NC

Salary: $30.00 USD Hourly - $38.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Transportation Analyst for a 6 month + contract.


HYBRID - onsite 3 days/week - Tues-Thurs required - Charlotte, NC location


This is for Inbound freight, anything coming in from outside suppliers.


No SAP required, must have strong Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc), any analytics (BI or Tableau) and a degree.


They will execute operational plans across assigned transportation mode categories in support of departmental and corporate goals and objectives in partnership with third-party Transportation operations resources. The Transportation Analyst will develop and manage partnerships and performance of internal customers and external carriers utilizing key performance metrics.


Skills Needed:


Detail-orientated, proficiency in Excel, strong project management skills, high-level of data analysis capabilities. Power BI preferred. Transportation operations and/or Supply Chain background preferred. Brand new role to assist the Transportation Manager for inbound freight need someone who is strong with excel and data analytics experience.


Assist in determining the lifecycle and provide administrative analytic tasks


Need to know pivot tables, summarizing data, vlookups will be pulling the data from various data sources - TMS, Power BI


Role Purpose:


Responsible for managing and contacting bulk customers to validate the accuracy of the order on file at the TMS level prior to carrier tender


- S/T location, contact information, bulk product and quantity to be delivered


- Meter or scale unload etc. just to name a few of the order validation steps


Accountabilities


- Document all customer contacts according to the call script guidelines


- Manage and perform all data updates in TMS


- Followed with email updates to customer service


- Work independently with or without direct supervision


- Maintain order integrity by verifying all order information


- Must be comfortable and courteous on the telephone


- Work closely with the bulk control tower team and take directions
