Role Overview: As an Electrical Engineer Senior, you will be part of a diverse, technical team working on the design of next-generation satellite technologies and components. Your responsibilities will span a broad range of electrical engineering activities, including FPGA design, board-level circuits, and command and data handling.


Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the FPGA team to enhance established designs and develop new FPGA designs.


• Focus on FPGA design tasks, utilizing Verilog and simulation tools.


• Work closely with electrical engineering basics, including board-level design and circuits.


• Handle command and data functions related to FPGA systems.


• Communicate effectively with team members, engineering leaders, and internal/external customers.


• Use Altium Design (or equivalent) for schematic capture or PCB layout.


• Design digital, analog, and mixed-signal electronics technologies.


• Ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g., EMI/EMC).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering.


• 7+ years of electrical engineering design experience (5+ years with an MSEE).


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Familiarity with FPGA design, Altium, and digital/analog electronics.


• Experience designing for harsh or mission-critical environments.

Desired Skills:

• Design complex space-grade circuit card assemblies.


• Analyze and simulate electronics designs using tools like Altium Designer, LTSpice, and Siemens HyperLynx SI/PI.


• Work independently in a fast-paced environment.


• Test hardware in a laboratory setting.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable hardware.

Additional Information:

• This position is contract-to-hire, emphasizing long-term retention.


• Onsite work is required (potential flexibility for 3 days onsite).


• Security clearance is not necessary.


• Interviews typically involve a 2.5-hour session, including a presentation on a past design project.
