Job Description:

Job Summary The Contracts Manager will directly perform and provide guidance to others to support cradle to grave contracting and subcontracting for federal government, state / municipal government, and commercial contracting projects. Projects are primarily focused on architect, engineering and professional consulting services, which wil include design/build and construction management efforts. Management oversight of activities is dependent on the complexity of the assignment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and participate in the fulfillment of contract requirements, which may include, but not be limited to:


  • review of solicitation and contract documents;
  • interpretation and provision of guidance on terms and conditions;
  • support of proposal preparation; and
  • negotiation of agreements.

Daily activities may also include:

  • drafting contract correspondence;
  • maintaining documentation;
  • monitoring compliance; and resolving disputes;
  • issuance and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, MOUs and other agreements will be performed as necessary;
  • interaction with subcontractors from initiation through the close-out process or providing guidance and mentoring of others who have direct engagement with subcontractors and vendors; and
  • participate in collaborative efforts with various internal departments, may serve as a liaison between the company and our clients or rovide guidance to those respsible for interaction, in the fulfillment of contracts, ensuring appropriate management reviews and approvals are obtained.
Supervisory Responsibilities None Experience 8 or more years of relevant contracting experience supporting federal, state and municipal government and commercial. A&E and Design Build Contracting experience desirable. Education Bachelor's Degree in Business / Contracting related field or commensurate directly applicable years of experience. Additional study in contracting, purchasing or legal theory desirable (examples: NMCA, DIA, national continuing education programs) Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices, and have understanding of applicable contracting regulations at the federal and state level (FAR, FAR supplements, State procurement regulations etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and multi-task with both internal and external clients in a fast paced, quick turn-around environment is a key for success in this position
  • Business acumen and analytical skills required
  • Experience with contract and subcontract review / A&E and Design Build contracting desirable
  • Attention to detail / reliable
  • Working knowlege of Microsoft products / Oracle experience a plus
  • Problem solving skills, team work and critical thinking skills necessary
Licenses/Registrations None Required, but contracting and procurement certifications are a plus. Physical Demands & Work Environment

Compensation

The National salary range for this position is $90,848 - $144,879. The actual salary offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate, and relative to salary ranges in the offering office.
