Overview



Falconwood, Inc. is a woman/veteran-owned business providing executive level consultants and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects focusing on acquisition strategy, implementation activities, cloud computing, systems engineering, and cyber security policy and engineering. We are seeking an experienced Senior RF Network Engineer to lead our initiatives, ensuring the highest level of network reliability, security, and performance. The Senior RF Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, implementation, and optimization of wireless networking solutions to include 5G. This role requires a deep understanding of modern networking technologies, extensive experience in network architecture, and a proactive approach to solving complex networking challenges.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the design and architecture of wireless networks, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and optimal performance.
  • Configure and manage routing and switching of RF transport technologies for large-scale networks.
  • Design and oversee RF solutions, optimize resource utilization, and simplify network management.
  • Serve as the escalation point for RF network issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize RF network performance, capacity, and scalability.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select networking equipment and technologies that align with customer objectives.


Qualifications


  • Must have a DoD SECRET clearance
  • Must have a DoD 8570.01-M, IAT level 2 certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a network engineer, with a strong emphasis on cloud networking.
  • Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting of cloud networking solutions, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with Azure Express Route, Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), and other cloud networking services.
  • In-depth understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Microsoft AZ-700/AZ-305 or AWS Solutions Architect/AWS Advanced Networking preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.


Pay Range



$155-165K
