Counter Lead Associate at Volt in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description:

One of the largest wholesale distributors of LP gas, industrial fittings, and plumbing products currently has a great opportunity for a Counter Lead Associate for their South Boston location. This is a Direct Hire opportunity!

In this role, you will supervise the day-to-day operations of the counter team, including:
--Customer service and handling customer needs and requests
--Condition of Merchandising, and replenishment of inventory.
--Neatness and cleanliness of counter and store.
--Handle and process credit returns and restock products.
--Promote events and set up and arrange promotions and advertising.
--Assessing and delegating workload to the team.


Other responsibilities:
• Greet customers and create a positive FW Webb experience with every interaction
• Assist customers with checking inventory and placing orders
• Pull, check, and pack products for customers
• Facilitate transfers between other FW Webb locations
• Check on parts, pricing, and availability from outside vendors
• Process returns, debit memos, and warranties
• Face, fill, and restock shelves
• Effectively multitask in a fast-paced work environment


Qualifications:

• Previous counter experience preferred.
• Experience leading a small team to mentor, coach and delegate for the day.
• Experience working in a hardware store-type box retailer preferred.
• Effective verbal, written, and computer skills are required.
• Must be customer service-focused and quality oriented.


Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday
Flexible start time between 6:00 AM -7:00 AM 8-hour shift.
Available to work rotating Saturdays (every 4-6 weeks)

Hourly pay:

$24.00- $30.00 - Depending on experience
