Job Description:

Position Summary
The Production Lead supervises multiple functional areas, and performs all related functions including trimming, grinding, packaging, labeling, and recordkeeping. This position is responsible for ensuring associates are cross trained, are following company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines, and are meeting production goals.
Responsibilities & Duties
Self-directed, anticipates instructions given by manager, and sets the pace to support production goals and shifts in production demands. Leads assigned team in gathering, arranging, and sorting materials to meet daily production goals. Monitors production process, ensuring quality standards and consistency; acts as resource for others relying on expertise. Monitors team in packing materials into cartons and applying appropriate labels to cartons based on contents. Leads team in producing the required quantity of product within established timeframes and specifications; demonstrates understanding of production goals and initiates team effort in meeting needs; provides course correction when necessary. Operates production machinery in accordance with INSAs and manufacturers instructions and intended use. Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper set-up and alignment; performs basic routine adjustments.
Ensures accuracy in production logs, inventories, documentation, reports, and compliance with Company SOPs and state regulations.
Ensures the work area is kept in clean and safe condition.
Follows safety guidelines and regulations, champions safety culture. Establishes self-accountability for maintaining a safe work environment. Leads team in same.Provides training and development for team members.Behaves in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamwork.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience
Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. 1-3 years cannabis production experience required. 1 year experience in a leadership role preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required. Experience with inventory management, quality control, and recordkeeping preferred.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods of time (8+ hours) Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Ability to use a step ladder. Manual dexterity is needed for manipulating hand tools. Visual acuity is needed to accurately read small screens and labels.
