The ideal Marketing Manager at Florida Victorious is an enthusiastic, strategic, creative individual who works with University of Florida student-athletes and will lead, coordinate, and execute various pieces of the marketing strategy for Florida Victorious. This role is perfect for someone with experience in sports marketing who wants to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be part of something new and groundbreaking! He or she will be responsible for managing and growing Florida Victorious subscription revenue and all marketing efforts related to that, as well as broad oversight of the creative assets for the Florida Victorious brand. As part of this, this individual will work closely with the internal team to create impactful activations for fans and corporate sponsors and build marketing assets using the Name, Image, and Likeness of contracted Florida Gator student-athletes.
The ideal candidate is creative, independent, responsible, organized, and hard-working, with prior experience in sports or athlete marketing strongly preferred and a passion for Gator Athletics!
Responsibilities
Subscription revenue growth and strategy development, including marketing performance analytics
Creative strategy, design and execution (all video, graphic, digital and print assets)
Social media strategy, community management, and execution
Digital media strategy, management, and oversight of 3rd party team executing strategy
Event planning and execution - in-person events (tailgates, player meet & greets, etc) & virtual events
Student-athlete activation design and coordination for corporate sponsor activations and fan events
Communication and coordination with reporters, podcasts, influencers, alumni, UF/UAA employees
Digital asset management (website, social platforms, FV community, message boards, etc)
Ambassador marketing / outreach and affiliate marketing strategy
Merchandise strategy and management
Subscription member benefit fulfillment
Travel locally in and around Gainesville required, along with occasional travel throughout the state
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
5+ years of relevant experience, with experience in professional sports or athlete marketing preferred
Creative critical thinker, with a keen eye for design as it relates to sports marketing
Experience working with and managing outside agencies and vendors
Experience desiging and developing creative assets
Experience planning and executing events and other activations
