Job Overview: The Associate Director, General Ledger & Payroll Benefits Accounting provides direction, oversight and supervision of accounting tasks and personnel. Ensures the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and is responsible for recording, reporting, and reconciling transactions in conformity with the generally accepted accounting principles. Primary Responsibilities: - Provide management support to the General Ledger team and related processes (review and approve JDE account structure and setup, account reconciliation review, treasury cash accounting process, joint venture accounting, intercompany accounting, and reconciliation). - Provide accounting, analysis, and account reconciliations to support the assigned Business/Operational counterparts (Corporate Accounting, Corporate Tax, Regional Business Units) in accordance with company financial reporting policies and GAAP. - Provide management support to the Payroll/Benefits team and related processes (review and approve check requests/stock issuances/wires/new vendor set-ups, account reconciliation review, review EPE analysis/reconciliation). - Overseeing technical research of accounting issues. - Contributing to the development of accounting guidelines and procedures that impact results within area of responsibility. - Focal point for Special Accounting projects including systems upgrades. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required - CPA preferred - 5-7 years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience is required - 3+ years of JD Edwards system experience preferred - Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach/mentor others required.
