Remote role with up to 40% travel

Medela is seeking a Director, Medical Device Distributors and Managed Markets.

You will need to have experience in and can share stories of:

-A minimum of eight years of experience with a manufacturer or distributor of medical device products

-Advanced account management with medical device distributors and/or DME’s.

-Customer retention and demonstrated experience in producing profitable growth for your company.

-Strategic sales process that drives contractual growth.

-Leading a team to profitable goals.

Salary starting at $160,000 plus bonus

Position Outline- Director, Medical Device Distributors and Managed Markets.

-Develop and attain sales goals for the US Strategic Accounts Team across all areas of business

-Exceptional sales process understanding and implementation experience

-Minimum 8 years’ experience with a manufacturer or distributor of medical devices products

-Successful contract negotiation experience with major national level accounts

-Extensive experience in channel management, and direct sales management responsibilities, 5-7 years minimum

-Lead and drive execution plan for both the Managed Markets channel (inclusive of DME, Government, WIC) as well as Acute and Post-Acute Care Distribution businesses and Mamava

-Work in collaboration with cross functional teams and with internal departments specifically leading, managing and directing sustainable and profitable sales within target segment

-Oversee the development, prioritization and execution of strategies, tactics and value propositions for the above assigned customer segments designed to drive sustainable business growth

-Anticipate, identify, analyze and recommend business opportunities within assigned area

-Apply financial analysis and strategic business management methods for planning and business development

-Effective leadership of team members

Education/Experience Requirements- Director, Medical Device Distributors and Managed Markets

-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; Master of Business Administration preferred

-Ability to act, think and lead strategically

-Direct responsibility for developing and successfully implementing strategic sales plans

-Successful contract negotiation experience with major national level accounts

-Supervisory experience necessary to support Essential Functions

-Experience working in an environment with global objectives

-Extensive experience in channel management, and direct sales management responsibilities, 5-7 years minimum

-Minimum 8 years’ experience with a manufacturer or distributor of medical devices products preferred

-Demonstrated people manager with proven track record of developing teammates

-Strong computer and internet skills; software experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

-Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com will be considered an additional asset

-Ability to construct financial spread sheets to support business plans and financial models

-Professional certifications in business or sales education highly desired.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Fluent in English-verbal and written

Must meet vendor credentialing/compliance demands of accounts within a given territory and must satisfy the account’s drug screening requirements, including but not limited to screening for marijuana use, regardless of whether the use of marijuana is legal under applicable state law.
