The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to Full Cycle Payroll, monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
The key responsibility of this position is to oversee and ensure the timely review of accurate payroll processing/payroll tax filing for multiple client's weekly standard, certified, custom, off-cycle payrolls.
Your primary focus will be to personally reconcile and collaborate with HR Director and Payroll Accountant/Analyst (and Corporate Clients) to ensure all weekly checks & balance reports are in place
You will also ensure that all payroll transactions such as garnishments, employee benefits deductions, federal and state social security and withholding taxes are withheld and tie to all schedules and posted to the GL on a weekly basis.
Senior Accountant is directly responsible for ensuring that all payroll tax is filed accurately and timely and that all payroll deductions (including group insurance deductions) are also distributed and appropriately paid timely.
Note: 90% of all daily Client contact will be handled by the Payroll Accountant except
for higher level issues requiring the immediate attention of the Senior Accountant.
You will serve as our lead financial Advisor / Analyst, directly responsible for overseeing the
administration of the accounting and payroll operations, financial reporting,
vendor management, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, monthly, quarterly and
annual financial statement preparation and audit schedule
Qualifications
5+ years' of professional Payroll accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
Highly analytic and detail-oriented individual who is meticulous, highly organized and capable of handling multiple tasks and competing priorities within the timeframe allocated
