The successful applicant must be able to work in an environment that calls for both adaptability and flexibility. This potentially long-term, temporary position is within the Office of Shared Administration's Employee Development section, physically located in One Davis Square in Charleston, WV. The position reports directly to the Professional Development Manager and collaborates with employees in Employee Development and a variety of agency staff to accomplish the following duties:
Help to maintain the multi-agency employee performance appraisal system.
Serve as a customer support contact via telephone, email inbox, and submitted forms.
Provide exemplary customer service using professionalism, tact, and competency.
Create new accounts in the system and edit existing accounts, as needed.
Assist in creating system job aids and standard operating procedures.
Maintain numerous tracking reports.
Make updates in the system based on staffing changes and movements.
Under administrative direction, uses critical thinking skills to create, split, and disseminate reports to key stakeholders in multiple agencies.
Troubleshoot user issues in the system and provide step-by-step instruction to users.
Attend and participate in user meetings.
Must be able to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
This temporary Human Resources Generalist position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or candidates may substitute related experience for the required education at the rate of one (1) year of experience for thirty (30) semester hours of education. The rate of pay for this temporary position is $18 - $20 per hour and we will work to accommodate graduate class schedules to the extent possible.
