Position Summary

The Master Scheduler will be responsible for forecasting project labor, equipment needs. Additionally, they will be responsible for material shipping and labor scheduling options for the Construction team.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Duties)


  • Serves as a primary point of contact for, and liaison with, sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments in regard to material lead times and shipping schedules, communicating available resources to the PM team.
  • Verify and compare current/estimated purchase orders with available inventory of materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
  • Integrates purchase orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet contracted dates and as approved by the PM.
  • Maintains master construction schedule; revises as needed with inputs from the Project Manager and Construction
  • Manager. Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related Project Operations departments.

  • Review and monitor daily field production to effectively schedule resources.
  • Identify variances in estimated schedules to drive corrective actions/lessons learned.
  • Support the field crews schedule change efforts.
  • Proven people skills required, must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures.
  • Maintain numbers to reflect scheduling methods, support performance and process procedures.
  • Create a valid master schedule in which priority due dates are equal to need dates and planned capacity equals required capacity.
  • Develop relevant performance metrics, and issue monthly schedule updates.
  • Complete all required or directed training, certification, licensing, and other learning and development as assigned.
  • Abide by all Federal, State, and local laws; uphold and maintain accountability to all Company policy.
  • Demonstrate positive team behavior that contributes to efficiency, productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.

Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)

2 Years of Experience in Solar construction, or Civil construction coordination

2 Years of Experience in Interstate shipping and shipping contracts

Technical Skills

Familiarity of tablet or iPhone technology, electronic reporting and record keeping, online shipping and receiving systems

Work Conditions

Environment: Hybrid Role with In-Office Requirements

Travel: Less than 10%
