Adroit General Agency is looking for key team members to support Production Underwriting. These positions are focused on the Midwest, Gulf to the South, and Mid-Atlantic to the South areas and are remote for daily operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Utilizing authority to underwrite, price, and service larger middle market Workers' Compensation accounts while adhering to underwriting guidelines.
Establishing and maintaining broker relationships in the Midwest and beyond to produce opportunities to successfully quote and bind business.
We combine individual account underwriting skills with a highly automated backroom to provide a unique value proposition for higher-severity insureds.
Assisting in the development and execution of business strategy necessary to drive submission flow and binding of profitable business.
Working collaboratively with the home office, marketing and distribution, claims, loss control, premium audit, and legal to develop and maintain a profitable portfolio of unique insurance placements.
Position Qualifications:
5+ years of experience underwriting Casualty insurance
Bachelor's degree preferred
Significant experience and expertise working with a broad array of program structures and pricing models
Strong understanding of alternative program structures and techniques to sell all styles of programs
Existing relationships with Midwest brokers handling construction, transportation, or other high-severity classes
Possess strong presentation, communication, and business development skills
Motivated to successfully operate in a remote work culture
Driven, highly motivated, self-starter
Excellent marketing and sales skills
Willingness to travel up to 25%
