I am hiring for a Senior Estimator position in the western suburbs of Chicagoland. The firm is growing quickly and has doubled in annual revenue over the last year, reaching $100M+. Their work encompasses Retail, Restaurants, Medical, and Office Space, both ground up and interiors. This position has opened up due to growth and will step into a lead position in their estimating department. Most of their work is negotiated, repeat business clients and this role will partner with clients during design phase through completion.
Responsibilities:
Leading a team of estimators, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Overseeing the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive estimates for projects of varying scope and complexity.
Conducting in-depth cost analysis, material take-offs, and labor assessments to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.
Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for comprehensive bids.
Staying current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to refine estimating strategies.
Reviewing and optimizing the estimating process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
5-10+ years experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a strong background in leadership.
Expertise in construction estimating software and tools.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality estimates.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
A Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
