Job Description:

The Head of Plant Infrastructure and Engineering directs infrastructure and all Capital projects such as capacity expansion, technological and quality improvement, energy saving related project; achieves expected results in term of requirements consistency, deadlines according with applicable regulation standards and procedures, implementing appropriate project management, tools/protocols. He / she also ensures the optimal functioning of the production lines through the execution of the maintenance program for them, and public services and facilities based on precise and integrated plans, systems, and tools. Coordinates the maintenance team effectively and efficiently. Act in accordance with applicable corporate and local rules, regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures. He / she also provides strategic leadership, technical guidance, and advisory support and oversight to the CAPEX management for the site.

Key Responsibilities

Operation Strategy Execution
  • Participate in infrastructure strategy definition for relevant areas, translates it into actionable plan and executes it, providing the leader above with inputs aimed at effectively achieving targets; propose and executed improvements.

Project Management
  • Effectively manage the resource requirements and facilitates allocation adequately across the projects for the relevant area assigned locally, working alongside with the all the other leaders in order to ensure engagement and commitment.
  • Drive strategic projects execution and assigned teams and resources, both internal and external, in order to complete deliverables within the deadline and supervises the executions at different stages, with focus on results and synergies, respecting costs, timescales, resources budget, requirements and deadlines.
  • Monitor the project's progression with regular updates, including budget control and resources workload, identifies risks and issues and when it is necessary addresses mitigation actions, reviewing contingency plans, in coordination with project teams.

Capex and Maintenance budget Management
  • Prepare and propose local maintenance and projects Budget based on scope of work and resources requirements for the approval process.
  • Monitor and ensure spending process in place according to the approved budget.
  • Monitor progress and make adjustment as needed.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis about strategy, adjustment and progress.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas of improvement.

Maintenance Management
  • Participates in the definition and implementation of the maintenance strategy, implementing an effective maintenance program (Preventive, Corrective, Predictive) to guarantee a precise level of system reliability and reduce operating costs for both production and utilities areas.
  • Ensures the maintenance program, plans, and operational executions, working together with the maintenance and quality assurance team by applicable legal requirements, tracking and monitoring progress during the different phases to guarantee delivery on time by preparing analyses and reports using the appropriate set of KPIs, working with the functions involved in the processes.

Supplier Management
  • Participate in Key & strategic supplier selections phases and ensures that supply chain team will receive all technical documents and relevant information able to address the procurement process and reviews the agreements when required.

Program Management
  • Supports the Company product development activities, starting with the proposal development through the installation, qualification and production ramps, meeting the agreed program targets for new product introductions.

Relationship Management
  • Collaborate effectively with the peer functions supporting the processes robustness and readiness, providing feedback and evaluation on the service from external providers; highlights areas of improvement.

People Management
  • Plans, organize, manages, coaches and develops assigned staff, ensuring the effective talent management, career path development and training; drive commitment and engagement.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in project management and maintenance Management within industrial sector and industry

Education:
  • Engineering Degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) or equivalent

Knowledge Requirements
  • Knowledge of project Economics including VE, project appropriations, Opex and Capex management, COGS impacts.
  • Understanding of S&OP techniques, program management, supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, ISO standards.
  • Ability to build and leverage partnerships and manage complex relationships.
  • Proven track record of successful change management
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset and approach to the problems
  • Ability to analyze data and project and financial related metrics (KPI) and derive actions to improve performance.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers and public groups, and/or boards of directors
