Job Description:

Broadwind Heavy Fabrications is adding an Associate Quality Engineer to our team in Abilene, TX The Quality Engineer will be instrumental in upholding the integrity of our quality standards. This role is focused on driving root cause analyses, adjusting, and monitoring controlled documents and metrics, and assisting in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes. Reporting to the Sr. Quality Manager and working within the Quality Division, this role will play a pivotal role in ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to quality specifications and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (May include some or all the following responsibilities)

Focus on three main initiatives: metric creation and analysis, procedure revision and crafting, and support of internal auditing.
Assist in document control activities and conduct internal audits.
Maintain and verify the effectiveness of non-conformance and corrective action metrics.
Collaborate with the project management team on customer KPI communications.
Establish, complete, and maintain control charts, FMEAs, and PPAP documentation as required.
Support internal and customer process/statistical control monitoring activities.
Assist in material traceability monitoring and tracking for customer schedule reporting.
Work cross-functionally to support successful outcomes of initiatives.
Undertake other projects and duties as assigned.
