Your Team & Role  

As a Lead, Infrastructure Developer on the Managed File Transfer team, you will partner with team of highly skilled developers and engineers to modernize, manage and architect our Managed File Transfer platform, which is consumed by internal and external partners performing a mission critical function.  You will develop automated solutions to manage the lifecycle of infrastructure services as we solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services, and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to advanced technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus. 

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day    


  • Create, code and support solutions to automate the creation, management, or destruction of infrastructure; remove technical impediments  

  • Ensure security and compliance; conform to industry standards and corporate policies to safeguard critical information from end-to-end.

  •  Produce and furnish web reports on file transfer processes, batch schedules, system performance, and KPI’s.

  • Collaborate with product owners in understanding needs and defining feature stories, tech leads in defining technical design and other team members to understand the system end-to-end and deliver robust solutions that bring about business impact and support the goals  

  • Automate unit and integration test cases, solve problems and add new value with automation  

  • Develop corporate platform standards based on cost, capability and capacity requirements to drive business value; document solutions to support the adoption of developed solutions   

  • Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies related to MFT (Managed File Transfer), provide input and coach team members and embed learning and innovation in the day-to-day   

  • Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables.   

  • Apply infrastructure fundamentals to Linux/Unix operating systems, database, network and TCP/IP, and common communication protocols   

  • Responsible for the end-to-end file transfer process including planning, scheduling, and execution.

  • Provide L3 Support, serve as an escalation point for team members to promptly resolve issues

  • Facilitate platform consumption and transparency by developing self-service mechanisms and creating customer-facing reports

  

The Skills & Expertise You Bring  


  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields   

  • Ability to coach others with minimal guidance effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization     

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)   

  • Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business   

  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges   

  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills   

Advanced experience and/or expertise with several of the following:   


  • Programming Languages: Python, Shell/Power scripting, Groovy, Modern languages, Ansible, CloudFormation and Terraform frameworks   

  • Demonstrable experience engineering, developing, and supporting MFT solutions

  • Applied experience with TIBCO, or relevant tools such as IBM Sterling, File Gateway, connect: Direct, etc

  • Understanding of encryption algorithms (PGP, SFTP/SSH, etc.), secure file transfer practices, networking/network protocols, firewalls and how they interrelate with MFT

  • Ability to provide 7x24x365 on call support

Preferred Qualifications   

  • Financial/Insurance industry experience is a plus, not a must

The salary range for this role is from $135,100.00 to $201,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
