Summary:
The Leadership Annual Giving Officer (LAGO) builds important connections with a diverse group of constituents. They will be responsible for increasing leadership support soliciting annual gifts of $2,500 or more, as well as identifying and qualifying new major gift prospects. By embracing the opportunity to travel, the LAGO will work closely with various stakeholders, attend programmatic meetings, and represent the College to donors and volunteers, via in person meetings, Zoom sessions, phone calls and communications. Previous experience in individual fundraising or a related field is preferred.
The LAGO will be joining a group of energetic, hard-working, and fun individuals who are committed to our college and its mission. In an effort to increase leadership annual donors (members of the President's Society) as well as participation, the LAGO will be responsible for soliciting annual gifts of $2,500 or more. They will carry a portfolio of approximately 100+ individual prospects nationally, as well as work with a dynamic group of prospective donors who - once identified and engaged with - may become part of their permanent portfolios. In addition to achieving annual fundraising goals, they will focus on discovery work, helping to identify new major- and principal-gift prospects through superior qualification outreach, with the focus on engagement being omnipresent. Responsibilities:
The position requires travel and outreach, as well as the ability to effectively communicate the college's mission, needs, and priorities to match prospective donors' interests. Strong communications skills and the capacity to interact are crucial. Timely and accurate recordkeeping and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers are essential.
The LAGO should be prepared to work in various environments (indoor and outdoor seminars, volunteer events, retreats) while traveling and possess the physical stamina to handle travel demands.
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience
