Job Title: Software Developer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid position)

Job Summary

At ADS Inc. we actively seek our customers’ equipment and logistical challenges and deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions. As we focus on growing our business, leveraging technology, and growing our internal technical capabilities is critical for success.  

As a Software Developer at ADS, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a robust technology stack. Your responsibilities will include understanding stakeholder requirements, building, testing, and debugging software systems using a variety of tools and programming languages, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and evangelizing for new technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software in a team environment


• Automate tasks, develop tools, build applications with efficient and robust code


• Identify, refine, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle


• Collaborate with engineering team, internal teams, and vendors to build and support technical solutions


• Champion test driven development and continuous improvement initiatives


• Follow emerging industry trends to help identify opportunities to improve ADS technologies and/or methodologies.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer


• Experience working in development teams


• Proficiency with multiple programming languages and expertise in at least one of the following: Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, SQL


• Proficiency with web development frameworks like Django, Angular, React, Spring


• Experience with RDBMS like Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL


• Experience using web APIs and distributed applications


• Experience working in an agile environment using a CI/CD process


• Experience building secure, cloud-based web applications


• Excellent time management, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Software Developer


• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis


• A BSc or advanced degree in a relevant field like computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
