Job Description:

MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION MANAGER

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, resourceful Production Manager to join our dynamic team in Gainesville, Georgia.

The Production Manager directs, supervises, and coordinates activities of workers of the factory production area engaged in the filling and packaging of personal care and consumer products. He or she manages production operations for product lines to ensure production and quality of products meets deadlines and customer specifications.This is a three-shift operation with three direct reports (Productions Supervisors).

Responsibilities:

·Responsible for managing the overall daily production process.

·Ensures adherence to defined quality, GMP and safety standards.

·Trains and coaches team to meet defined productivity targets.

·Assists with identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives.

·Previews production and operating reports and resolves operational manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

·Develops and works with supervisors/line leaders in all areas (i.e., problem solving, setting, and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling, and equipment problems)

·Partners with engineering/CI to improve the manufacturability of our products.

·Provides technical support to shop operations in the areas of equipment, layout, tools, fixtures, and machines to ensure low-cost and high-quality products.

·Encourages and promotes a plant culture of Continuous Improvement along with the ability to create an engaging culture within a diverse workforce.

Qualifications/Requirements

·At least 5 years production management/supervisory experience of 50 full time employees or more

·Must have experience with routings and manpower alignment

·Experience with chemical batching and/or filling lines is a plus

·Experience managing departmental budget and maintaining key financial and performance metrics

·Experience meeting production schedules, controlling and improving line efficiency

·Must have experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, GMP & JIT/TQM/ CI concepts and skills

·Must be willing to accept complete ownership of the production and filling value streams for all shifts

·Good MS Office skills

·Must be willing to work overtime as required

Education Requirements

· 4year degree in applicable field of study or minimum 7 years management in a production environment
