The Fabrication Engineer is responsible for review and planning to optimize plant and production equipment. In this role the Fabrication Engineering will conduct analysis on operational workflow to determine the optimal utilization of equipment and personnel.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication of industrial parts and machinery.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and evaluate fabrication methods to reduce waste, enhance safety and optimize quality.
Analyze workflow designs, space requirements, and workforce to optimize efficiency.
Design fixtures and tooling required for production methods.
Oversight of capital projects related to plant/production equipment.
Determine required equipment & materials for purchase and work directly with vendors to understand product specifications.
Prepare documentation outlining ROI and Rate of Return for proposed capital projects.
Work collaboratively with operational management regarding fabrication capabilities, production schedules, and staff to facilitate the production process.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer or related field
