Senior Security Solutions Architect (Portland,OR)

Right! Systems, Inc. (RSI) is seeking a talented individual for the role of Senior Security Solutions Archtict. This is a full-time position.

You will be working on a team of highly skilled technicians and engineers across a wide range of disciplines, representing solutions from Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba, Okta, Microsoft and more. Your role is to ensure that industry best practices and methodologies are applied to the deployment, integration, and operational support of our customer environments. Candidates must live in the service area and be able to report to one of the four office locations. Occasional travel and weekend work will be required. This role reports the CTO.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build and maintain a deep technical understanding of network and security technologies, including firewalls, XDR, SDWAN, SEIM, SOAR, other security solutions to present full solutions to customers and RSI
  • Work with customers to design and scope new projects
  • Develop bills of materials and solutions for customers
  • Consult with customers on options and features required to meet business needs
  • Present solutions and scopes of work to customers
  • Design and planning on complex projects integrating multiple technologies across multiple disciplines as part of a team of engineers
  • Attend or participate in various product training sessions and classes in order to broaden your skillset while maintaining RSI's vendor relationships
  • Partner with named OEMs by becoming the technical sponsor for RSI.
  • Meet with customers to discuss and outline new technologies that improve and enhance their current environments
  • Work with a cross section of the RSI team including sales, engineering and management to complete tasks as required
  • Present to AMs, management, other RSI personnel and customers on new technologies
  • Assist team on specific project consulting and/or escalated support as required
  • Work with Engineering manager to provide input for training requirements for Security team in line with business objectives and OEM requirements
  • Collaborate cross teams to develop processes to drive security recurring revenue streams
  • Provide leadership and guidance for programs and OEM integrations as it relates to Security vendors. Work with Engineering Manager to integrate requirements into training plans
  • Meet with customers, OEMs and RSI team members onsite and remotely as required to perform job duties effectively
  • Attain and retain certifications as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

5+ years of equivalent network technology experience

Cisco CCNP Security or CCIE Security, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, or demonstrable experience level required

Hands on experience deploying and designing complex network security solutions

Hands on experience with PAN firewalls required

Understanding of security framworks and compliance requirements for regulated industries required

Hands on experience with Cisco Firepower firwalls preferred

Palo Alto Networks PCNSE highly preferred

Hands on experience with Palo Alto Networks Prisma, Panorama, and PAN SDWAN solutions preferred

Strong design and troubleshooting skills for firewalls required

Hands on experience with Fortinet firewalls or Fortinet NSE certification preferred

Experience with network segementaiton and datacenter security best practices

Experience with design and deployment of Cisco ISE or Aruba Clearpass highly preferred

Pervious experience as a consultant desired

Deep understaning and experience with advanced routing and switching protocols

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Highly self-motivated, directed and organized with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced scenario

Strong customer service orientation

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Experience in CRM databases

Candidate must have a valid Driver's license
