QA Engineer (Mid-Senior Level)

Contract (10-18 Weeks)

Remote in CST Time Zone (Birmingham, AL)

Our clothing and sporting goods retail client is seeking a Senior QA Engineer. In this role, you will take charge of System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), understanding intricate business needs, collaborating with system integrators, and efficiently managing tasks within Jira. As our client transitions from legacy systems to the Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (RMFCS), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless modernization.

Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (RMFCS) required.
  • 5+ years of Manual QA experience required.
  • Retail QA experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Ability to organize and plan tasks with an emphasis on time management.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to be productive with minimal oversight.
  • Competencies in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the robustness and reliability of software systems.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand intricate business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new technologies, particularly during the transition from legacy systems to Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (RMFCS).
  • Efficiently manage and execute tasks, defects, and test cases within Jira, maintaining clear documentation and tracking of testing progress.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and issues, escalating critical issues to appropriate stakeholders while providing actionable recommendations for resolution.
  • Proactively engage in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA testing process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
