Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Plan and direct activities associated with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Facilitate the APQP process, utilizing the internal APQP checklist and customer specific APQP checklists, as applicable.
  • Lead feasibility review with team members, record developed process in standard operator instruction format for coil, taper, secondary, etc.
  • Oversee procurement/fabrication of gauges, and tooling; develop packaging with customer and documents using customer and internal formats.
  • Oversight of PPAP submission as required by customer prototypes and production samples.
  • Maintain data and maintain PPAP on time measurable.
  • Devise sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Maintain gage R&R and gage tray programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for the disposition of suspect material and devise methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Partner with employees engaged in measuring and testing products and tabulate data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
  • Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve current processes in the manufacturing area to achieve Quality Assurance.
  • Participate in layer process auditing program.
  • Perform or oversee data collection for customer submissions, inspection records and annual layouts.
  • Communicate with customers & suppliers daily regarding concerns or complaints and drive corrective actions and improvements. Manage all sorting activities both internal and external.
  • Assist to implement and maintain IATF 16949:2016 and EMS14001 Environmental Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Analyze the systems and make recommendations to management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree and two years of on-the-job experience in one or more areas of quality or equivalent on the job experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of AIAG core tools through training certificates or equivalent testing.
