General Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced licensed Mechanical Engineer with the leadership qualities it takes to grow our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the mechanical engineering strategies, overseeing projects, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch solutions.
Essential Job Function
Provide direction and leadership for the mechanical engineering department, aligning with the overall strategic goals and objectives of the company.
Take ownership of mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. Define project scope, create schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes. Manage and delegate project tasks to maintain client expectations and project deliverables.
Act as a subject matter expert in mechanical engineering, offering insights into best practices and the latest technologies.
Ensure that all mechanical designs and solutions comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. Stay current on evolving guidelines and integrate them into engineering practices.
Identify areas for process improvement within the mechanical engineering department and implement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Collaborate with other disciplines within the company to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into multidisciplinary projects and ensure cohesive project outcomes.
Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, technical reports, and project progress updates. Present findings to stakeholders and management as required.

Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, personnel and management.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Power Point/Project)
In depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principals, standards, regulations, materials and processes.
Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering tools (e.g., Autodesk, Caesar II, PIPE-FLO, COMPRESS, etc.)
Education And Experience
Professional Engineer License Required.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a mechanical engineering or consulting firm.
